Small Pet Peeve: Kirk wasn’t that much of a “horndog” on TOS. No, really. He was a big flirt (with men and women, innocently!), but he certainly wasn’t as obnoxious as New!Kirk with constant come-ons. He was very respectful of women, but half the time when he was with someone, he was usually using them for information or was drugged (not very romantic.) In the three seasons of TOS, we only see him “put on his boots” twice. That’s an awful “horndog” average, wouldn’t you say? (Plus by season three, he was constantly handing over his women to Chekov, like, “You take care of this”, lol.)

I love TOS Kirk because he is definitely “the stack of books with legs”, if you pay close attention. New!Kirk I also adore, but I blame his behavior on not having a father growing up. I can forgive the humongous myth going on, there.
